Morning

The sun slowly climbs through the trees
Showering the forest with sparkling diamonds
The birds pay tribute to the morning with
the sweet sounds of awakening.

I stand in the middle of it all
The warmth of the sun
like loving arms, embraces me
Peace fills my soul
as I become one with all that surrounds me
A gift has been offered, and I have accepted.
