Tirra's Ladder of Acceptance

Embrace

To embrace is to move to the fullest measure of acceptance, so there is no reservation, nothing is held back.

Boundaries dissolve and we are aglow with life's unity, for, in embracing this wide acceptance, we are not different from the other.

This acceptance is full and whole, there are no conditions or caveats attached.    It has the quality of impartiality but it is also full and generous and does not judge.

We embrace things by welcoming them to us.
Our welcome must be pure and entire.
Our welcome dissolves any resistance in us and allows us to bring the other into the heart of us.  Love and desire help us to find this pure welcome that allows us to truly embrace.

Our effort is to put aside or turn away from divisive thoughts and actions.  Instead we work to deepen our acceptance of the other.  We seek the core that we can welcome into our entire being.

We can help others in their attempts to embrace us by offering them our best.
Be lovable and you will be loved.

But, in your own efforts, try to embrace even the less lovable.

Here is a poem that expresses a quality of welcome.

Take a step on the ladder.
