Soup the loop

I love to mix a metaphor,
Add chilli to the soup,
Throw signals in wild semaphore;
Flying loop-the-loop.

I love to mix a metaphor,
Pull an image into view,
A crazy quilt can take some more;
Humming too-rah-loo.

And when I mix a metaphor,
Teasing with the rhyme,
I find the stranger at the door
Is clapping hands in time.

So, join this jaunty metaphor,
Throw caution to the wind,
Crash your cymbals by the shore,
Make music for the mind.
